RAW MATERIALS
GOEL TMT is made from In-house manufactured billets in our own Integrated Steel Plant. Availability of In- house facilities to manufacture raw materials from Iron- ore stage, ensures better control over quality of raw material used for manufacturing GOEL TMT
Steel used is made by reprocessed and scrap materials. No purification is done during the process of steel making. This results in to presence of high percentage of impurities in the finished products.
ROLLING
Rolled in the fully automatic rolling mill of international standards. TMT bars rolled are of uniform size and strength which ensures long lasting construction.
Conventional equipments are used for rolling of bars resulting in to uneven size and strength.
TECHNOLOGY
Made by proven German technology THERMEX ® QST, which gives the bars higher yield strength, extra toughness and high elongation value.
Due to non- standard TMT process, bars made are of uneven strength and thus unreliable for good construction. Bars show uneven bend quality.
PROCESSING
Uniform rib pattern of rebars as the ribs are made of using the CNC notch cutting machine. This ensures strong bonding with concrete.
Ribs are generally cut by using the manual method resulting in uneven rib pattern thereby making bonding weaker in the structure.
RING TEST
When cut ends of rebars are dipped in the NITRAL Solution (1 part of Nitric Acid + 9 parts of Alcohol) two distinct rims of dark tempered martensite rim and light ferrite-pearlite core appears, which exhibits desired micro structure for quality construction.
Due to improper quenching No such rims / rings are visible when dipped in the NITRAL Solution. Rings only appears when the Quenching and Self tempering of Bars are done properly.
STRENGTH Yield strength ranging from 430 to 460 N/mm2
Yield strength ranges from 360 to 390 N/mm2 due to improper and inadequate QST treatment.
ELONGATION Generally rebars will have elongation from 16 to 28% depending on final yield strength.
Very high elongation percentage ranging from 32-40% due to improper and inadequate QST treatment.
SPECIFICATION As per BIS standards. Ensures safe construction, can with stand fire hazards, Seismic turbulences, etc. Not conforming to IS specifications. Resulting into unsafe construction and can not resist seismic turbulences & fire hazards.
